The Gallatin girls golf team dominated the Helena Invite this week, securing first place with a two-day team score of 706. They edged out Billings West (714) and Bozeman (716) for the win.
Addison Bleile led the Gallatin girls with a fourth-place finish, shooting rounds of 85 and 79. Kira Connell paced the Bozeman girls, tying for fifth with a score of 166.
On the boys side, Bozeman secured second place with a score of 603, trailing Helena Capital by just three shots. West took third (611) and Gallatin finished fourth (622).
Bozeman’s Cooper Bourret impressed with a second-place finish in the individual competition, shooting rounds of 70 and 71. He was bested only by Capital’s John Gilbert, who finished at 5-under par. Gallatin’s Ryan Dailey finished fourth with a score of 148.
Both Bozeman and Gallatin teams will be back in action this week, competing closer to home at Bridger Creek and Valley View Golf Courses. This invitational will be the final one before the divisional tournament in Billings next week.
