**WOODLAND, WA** – The La Center Wildcats showcased their offensive firepower and defensive dominance on Friday night, dismantling the Woodland Beavers 28-0 in a non-league football contest at Beaver Stadium.

Senior running back Isaac Chromey led the Wildcats’ charge, racking up 193 yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries. The Wildcats held a slim 7-0 lead for much of the game, but a 16-yard touchdown run by Kaden Emerson in the third quarter extended their advantage. In the fourth quarter, two interceptions turned into touchdowns, putting the game out of reach for Woodland.

The Wildcats’ offense amassed a total of 312 yards, but it was the defense that truly shined, limiting the Beavers to just 16 yards of total offense in the second half. La Center successfully bottled up Woodland star quarterback Elijah Andersen, the reigning 2A Greater St. Helens League Player of the Year, holding him to five yards rushing and 57 yards passing.

Senior quarterback Wyatt Eiesland threw for 118 yards for La Center, while senior wide receiver/defensive back Parker McKinney added 64 receiving yards and snagged two interceptions. The Wildcats open their 1A Trico League season next week against Columbia-White Salmon.

Woodland (0-2) will host Washougal in their first 2A GSHL game of the season. Junior running back Karsen Northcut stood out for the Beavers, rushing for 11 yards and registering a quarterback sack.
