**Seoul, South Korea** – SsangYong, the Korean automaker known for its rugged vehicles, is making a comeback with the all-new Actyon crossover, set to compete directly with the popular Toyota RAV4. The 2025 model year Actyon, previously codenamed KGM J120, was first glimpsed in leaked photos and is now officially unveiled with a stylish, modern interior.
The interior design showcases a premium feel, aligning with the expectations of the segment. While the showcased version appears luxurious, the manufacturer assures that basic trims will offer a more streamlined look.
The Actyon boasts a dynamic silhouette and distinctive lighting, differentiating it from its platform sibling, the SsangYong Torres. Though technical specifications are yet to be announced, it is likely to inherit powertrain options from the Torres. This includes a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine producing 170 hp (or 165 hp with factory-installed LPG), as well as an electric variant.
The new SsangYong Actyon promises a compelling value proposition, challenging the RAV4 and other popular crossovers in the segment. With its modern design and expected competitive pricing, the Actyon could attract buyers seeking a stylish and affordable SUV.
