**London, September 13, 2024** – Crystal Palace’s new signing, Eddie Nketiah, has made a positive first impression on manager Oliver Glasner, who expressed his surprise at the forward’s dedication and work ethic.
Nketiah, who joined the Eagles on a five-year deal from Arsenal, could make his debut for his new club against Leicester on Saturday. Glasner was impressed with the 25-year-old’s performance in training, highlighting his strong technical skills, finishing ability, and tireless work ethic.
“I could see it in the first training (session),” said Glasner. “He is very good technically, he has a great finish… and what I’m really surprised at, in a positive way, is how hard he’s working in training. He’s always one of those guys who is running most in a training session, having the highest intensity in his training.”
Nketiah’s arrival, alongside other late deadline-day signings, has brought a fresh dynamic to the Palace squad, with Glasner acknowledging the need to rebuild and reintegrate the new players.
“We have 30 to 40 per cent changes in our squad and this means we have to build the group new again,” Glasner explained. “We have to find the common sense of playing, how we want to treat each other in the locker room and this is starting today.”
The Eagles are hoping for a better performance this weekend against Leicester, having suffered two losses to start their season before a draw against Chelsea.
