A new social concept combining cricket, cocktails, and competitive fun is set to open in Bristol’s Harbourside. ‘Sixes’, a popular chain already established across England and even internationally, has applied for an alcohol licence to open its first location in the South West.
The idea, which originated in London, features cricket nets, bowling machines, and a VR batting challenge that tests players’ skills and reflexes. Guests can enjoy craft cocktails, beers, and shared plates while cheering on their friends as they compete on the scoreboards.
Located on the first floor of the Bordeaux Quay building, the bar will be open from 8am to late, offering different time slots for groups of varying sizes. Players can choose from various game modes like ‘World Cup’, ‘Hundred’, or ‘T20’, all featuring virtual bowling machines and the thrill of scoring runs without actually running.
The venue is expected to be a hit with groups seeking a unique and engaging experience. The council is expected to make a decision on the alcohol licence in the coming week.
