**SAG HARBOR, NY** – Singer Justin Timberlake, 43, spoke out against drunk driving after reaching a plea deal in his DWI case on September 13th. The singer, who was charged in June with driving while intoxicated, pleaded guilty and will be required to pay a $500 fine, a $260 surcharge, and have his license suspended for 90 days. He will also complete 25 hours of community service.
Outside the court, Timberlake acknowledged his mistake and urged the public to learn from his experience, emphasizing that even one drink can impair judgment and lead to dangerous consequences.
“What I’d like to say to everyone watching and listening, even if you’ve had one drink, don’t get behind the wheel of a car. There’s so many alternatives. Call a friend. Take an Uber. There’s many travel apps,” he stated.
Timberlake stressed the importance of responsible choices, saying: “Take a taxi. This is a mistake that I made, but I’m hoping that whoever’s listening and watching right now can learn from this mistake. I know that I certainly have… Even one drink. Don’t get behind the wheel of a car.”
The singer’s public statement comes as a reminder of the serious dangers associated with driving under the influence.
