Actress Julie Bowen, known for her role in “Modern Family,” has vehemently denied rumors of a feud with fellow actress Sofia Vergara. “We get along like a house on fire,” Bowen told E! News, expressing her surprise at the reports. “We are absolutely, completely different,” she explained, adding, “I like to wear the baggiest, grossest underwear and show them to her, and she’s like, ‘Please, why are you wearing that?'”
Bowen went on to praise Vergara, describing her as “confident and funny.” She also took the opportunity to address the often-perceived competitive nature between women. “I’ll never understand why there’s this scarcity mentality about women,” she stated, “It’s like, if two or more get together they must be either witches in a coven or they hate each other. Guess what? We’re witches.”
In addition to discussing her friendship with Vergara, Bowen shared that she was recently diagnosed with a dry eye disease. “Apparently, my eyeballs were all inflamed,” she said, adding, “What’s scarier than that?”
Bowen is currently working on the upcoming thriller drama series “Hysteria!”
