Fri Sep 13 20:15:50 UTC 2024: ## Lower Dauphin Football Coach Suspended After DUI Arrest, Returns to Team

**Hummelstown, PA** – Lower Dauphin High School football coach Josh Borreli has returned to the team after a two-week suspension following a DUI arrest in July. Borreli, who is awaiting a hearing on possible DUI charges, admitted to making a “mistake” and taking full responsibility for his actions.

“I made a mistake, I got caught and am facing repercussions for it,” said Borreli, who was stopped by York City Police for a traffic violation. His blood-alcohol level was reportedly between 0.10 and 0.16%, exceeding the legal limit of 0.08%.

Despite the suspension, the Falcons have enjoyed success, defeating Red Land and Northern York during Borreli’s absence. He is expected to lead the team against Mechanicsburg on Friday.

Lower Dauphin School District Superintendent Dr. Robert Gildea expressed confidence in Borreli’s growth and continued positive impact on the student athletes.

“Josh has taken full responsibility for his actions,” said Gildea. “I’m confident that he will grow for this and, moving forward, continue to have a positive impact on the student athletes he is entrusted to lead.”

Borreli, in his fourth season as head coach, has emphasized the importance of learning from mistakes and striving for improvement.

“I just talked with them on how nobody is perfect,” he said. “It’s how you deal with mistakes that matter. You can get better or worse.”

Borreli’s return to the team comes as a positive sign for the Falcons, who will look to continue their winning streak with their head coach back on the sidelines.
