**Lucknow:** Ahead of the upcoming Eid Milad-Un-Nabi celebrations, Imam Khalid Rasheed Farangi Mahali of the Aishbagh Eidgah has issued an appeal for peace and community service. The procession, commemorating the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad, is scheduled for September 16th.
Imam Mahali urged all participating groups to refrain from raising slogans or playing songs that might offend others. He also requested them to start the procession on time to allow for timely prayers. “We have appealed to all Anjumans (groups) to bring their flags wrapped up from their homes and open them only at Aminabad Park,” he stated.
He further emphasized the importance of charity and social service on this special occasion. “Those who set up Sabeels (stalls) along the procession route and play recitations of the Holy Quran are also requested to avoid any content that may cause offense,” he added.
The district administration has been actively involved in preparations, holding several meetings with religious leaders. The procession, which is expected to begin at 9am from Jhandewala Park in Aminabad, will travel through various parts of the city before concluding at the Aishbagh Eidgah.
Imam Mahali assured that security arrangements, including drone surveillance, will be in place. He also requested the authorities to ensure the repair of roads along the procession route.
“We have been assured of security arrangements, cleanliness, and civic amenities along the procession route,” said Imam Mahali. “We also requested the authorities to repair the roads in this rainy season.”
