**New Delhi:** Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal visited the Connaught Place Hanuman Temple on Saturday, offering prayers to the deity after being granted bail in the Delhi liquor policy case. This is not the first time Kejriwal has sought blessings at the temple, as he has been a regular visitor throughout his political career, particularly during times of personal and political crisis.
Kejriwal, along with party leaders Sanjay Singh and Manish Sisodia, visited the temple on Saturday afternoon, just a day after being released from Tihar Jail. He had been granted bail by the Supreme Court in the corruption case related to the Delhi liquor policy.
The Chief Minister’s faith in the temple is well-known. He has frequented the shrine during both his successes and challenges. In 2013, after winning the Delhi elections and assuming the role of Chief Minister for the first time, Kejriwal had visited the temple. He has since made it a point to seek the blessings of the deity during crucial political moments, including the 2015 Delhi elections and during his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate earlier this year.
Kejriwal’s wife, Sunita Kejriwal, had also visited the temple in March to seek the deity’s intervention during his arrest. The temple has held special significance for the Chief Minister, serving as a source of solace and strength during challenging times.
