**SKY CITY, NM** – Susan Rae (Isakson) Whitten, a beloved resident of Sky City, New Mexico, passed away peacefully at home on September 8, 2024, at the age of 78.
Whitten was born in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1946 and was adopted by Ted and Myrna Isakson in 1952. She was a graduate of Grand Island Senior High and the Grand Island School of Beauty.
Whitten was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed traveling with her husband, Steve, across the United States. She was known for her love of family, friends, and the beauty of nature.
Whitten was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, a sister-in-law, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by her husband, Steve; daughter, Michelle; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; birth sister, Nancy; and numerous other family members and friends.
