Thu Sep 12 01:43:09 UTC 2024: ## Eminem Rocks the VMAs, Swift & Malone Take Home Collaboration Award

The MTV Video Music Awards kicked off with a bang as rap icon Eminem brought the house down with a nostalgic performance of “Houdini” from his latest album. The performance featured a legion of Eminem lookalikes, reminiscent of the 2000s VMAs.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift and Post Malone took home the Moonman for Best Collaboration for their song “Fortnight” off Swift’s album “The Tortured Poets Department”. Before accepting the award, Swift took a moment to remember the victims of 9/11, poignantly stating, “Waking up this morning in NY on Sept. 11, I’ve just been thinking about what happened 23 years ago, everyone who lost a loved one & everyone that we lost.”

Swift’s presence at the VMAs follows her recent political endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz. In her Instagram post, Swift praised Harris’ leadership and Walz’s commitment to issues such as LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and reproductive rights.

The 2024 VMAs saw a star-studded lineup, with Eminem’s electrifying opening performance setting the stage for an evening of musical celebration and poignant moments.
