Colombian superstar Karol G brought her signature Latin flavor to the 2024 Video Music Awards, electrifying the audience with a performance of her recent single “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido.” The performance, featuring a beach-themed backdrop, saw Karol G transition from solo power to a captivating collaboration with fellow pop icons Camila Cabello and Taylor Swift.
The show kicked off with Karol G addressing the crowd in Spanish, expressing her joy at being back on stage. She then opened the performance in front of flags representing all Latin American countries before moving to the main stage, transformed into a vibrant beachside bar. The audience danced along as Karol G took to the stage, her energy radiating throughout the arena.
Later, she surprised the crowd by venturing into the audience, joining Swift and Post Malone for a spontaneous dance session. The highlight, however, came when Karol G linked up with Camila Cabello for a sizzling Cuban-Colombian dance move.
This marked Karol G’s second VMAs performance in a row, having wowed the audience last year with her hit “Oki Doki” and her verse from the Brazilian funk collab “Tá OK.”
Karol G, who is also nominated for Best Latin for her song “Mi Ex Tenía Razón,” is a force to be reckoned with in the music world, having just released her fourth studio album, “Mañana Será Bonito,” which earned her Latin Grammy awards for Album of the Year and Best Urban Music Album, as well as a Grammy for Best Música Urbana Album.
The 2024 Video Music Awards are being broadcast live from the UBS Arena in Long Island, featuring a lineup of top performers including Anitta, Benson Boone, Halsey, Chappell Roan, Rauw Alejandro, and Sabrina Carpenter.
