Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has sold her bungalow in Mumbai’s Pali Hill neighborhood for INR 32 crore. The property, purchased in 2017 for INR 20 crore, had served as the office for her production house, Manikarnika Films, and was partially demolished by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in 2020 due to alleged unauthorized construction.
This sale comes amidst the delay of her debut directorial venture, “Emergency,” a historical biopic about former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film, starring Ranaut herself, Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, and others, was originally scheduled for release on September 6th but has been postponed due to a pending censor board certificate.
Ranaut has also invested INR 1.56 crore in a new office space in Andheri, Mumbai, for her production company.
The sale of her bungalow and the “Emergency” delay have generated considerable buzz, prompting speculation about Ranaut’s future plans and the reasons behind these decisions.
