Anantpur: A sensational century from Ishan Kishan, who wasn’t even initially part of the squad, propelled India C to a massive 525 runs in their first innings of the Duleep Trophy encounter against India B. The left-handed batsman smashed 111 runs off 126 balls, setting the tone for a dominant performance by India C.

Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, Babar Indrajith and Manav Suthar also chipped in with half-centuries, guiding India B past the 500-run mark on Day 2. However, the first innings belonged to Kishan, who showed impressive form and gave India C a strong foundation.

The stage is now set for India B to make a controlled start in their chase, with Captain Abhimanyu Easwaran and Narayan Jagadeesan taking the crease in the second session of Day 2. It will be a tough task for India B to match the brilliance of Kishan and his teammates, but a strong fight back is expected.
