**Jodhpur, India:** Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday stressed the importance of international cooperation in a world marked by conflict and competition, emphasizing India’s commitment to “walking hand in hand” with friendly nations. Speaking at the “Tarang Shakti” multilateral air exercise hosted by the Indian Air Force (IAF) in Jodhpur, Singh called for deeper partnerships and collaborations to address emerging global challenges.

“Today, there is a race in the world to get ahead of each other, wars are going on between countries,” he acknowledged, emphasizing the need for unity in the face of global turmoil. He highlighted India’s role in fostering peace and its willingness to work with partners on advanced and high-tech projects.

The ‘Tarang Shakti’ exercise, aimed at enhancing operational coordination among participating countries, was cited as a testament to this commitment. Singh highlighted the event’s significance in fostering trust and cooperation among nations, emphasizing that such initiatives build confidence and reinforce the collective commitment to stand together when needed.

Furthermore, Singh urged foreign dignitaries to explore India’s rapidly developing aerospace sector, inviting them to “discuss how we can advance our collaboration in defence manufacturing.” He emphasized India’s commitment to self-reliance, noting the country’s transformation from an importer of arms to a major exporter, with defence equipment now being supplied to approximately 90 countries.

Singh also lauded the Indian Air Force’s modernization efforts, showcasing its integration of advanced aircraft and next-generation equipment. He highlighted the IAF’s contribution to India’s economic growth, citing its role in job creation and the development of scientific temperament in the country.

The “India Defense Aviation Exposition (IDAX) – 2024,” inaugurated by Singh, further underscored India’s commitment to innovation and collaboration in the defense sector, showcasing cutting-edge technologies like RF Gun for unmanned aerial threat countermeasures, HAPS, and loitering ammunition.
