Thu Sep 12 08:36:54 UTC 2024: ## KP CM Gandapur Resurfaces, Defiant After Controversial Speech

**Peshawar, Pakistan -** Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur reappeared in public on Wednesday, attending a ceremony of the Peshawar Bar Council Association. His reappearance comes after he went missing for several hours following his controversial speech at a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally on September 8.

Gandapur’s speech at the rally had sparked a backlash, with the Chief Minister delivering a scathing attack on the military establishment, the government, and journalists. He also asserted that he would send a delegation to Afghanistan to negotiate a solution to the issue of terrorism in KP.

Following the speech, a crackdown began against PTI MNAs, and Gandapur became unreachable for a period of time. Despite the controversy, Gandapur remains defiant in his stance, stating his unwavering support for PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

Speaking at the bar council event, Gandapur urged state institutions to reform for their own sake and for the benefit of the country.

His reappearance and continued defiance will likely add fuel to the ongoing political tensions in Pakistan.
