Thu Sep 12 00:07:00 UTC 2024: ## Former Cleveland Middle School Teacher Sentenced for Secretly Filming Students in Locker Room

**Cleveland, TN** – Christopher Schroll, a former teacher at Cleveland Middle School, was sentenced to four years for secretly filming female students in the school’s locker room.

Schroll, 33, pleaded guilty to attempted aggravated unlawful photography of a minor. He will serve five months of his sentence in jail, followed by supervised probation, including an ankle monitor for the first 90 days.

The investigation, conducted by the Cleveland Police Department, revealed that Schroll placed a hidden camera in the locker room over a two-day period, capturing footage of 30 female students. The camera, disguised as a phone charger, was discovered by a student and subsequently seized by police.

Schroll initially claimed he installed the camera to investigate bullying complaints, but no such complaints were reported to school administrators. He was arrested in March 2022 and released on bond, only to be re-arrested later that same day on a second charge of attempted aggravated unlawful photography of a minor.

The school district suspended Schroll immediately after his arrest.

A no-contact order was issued, prohibiting Schroll from entering any school system, including Cleveland City Schools, and banning him from certain locations and from any contact with his victims.
