**Amsterdam, Netherlands -** XS Innovations, a Dutch startup specializing in medical technology, has secured €1.1 million in seed funding to advance its innovative Dynamic AVF (DAVF) device. The funding round was led by a consortium of investors including FIRST fund, Medtech TTT Fund, UNIIQ, Delft Enterprises, Libertatis Ergo Holding, and the Graduate Entrepreneur Fund.

The DAVF is a groundbreaking implantable device designed to alleviate the complications associated with hemodialysis treatment for patients with end-stage kidney disease (ESKD). Unlike traditional methods that maintain a constant high blood flow, the DAVF connects the artery and vein only during dialysis, keeping the AVF closed at other times to ensure normal blood circulation.

This unique technology allows for optimal blood flow control during dialysis (600 ml/min) while restoring normal levels during daily life. By reducing the time of high blood flow by 90%, the DAVF minimizes complications such as turbulent flow, stenosis formation, aneurysm risk, and heart failure.
