**New Delhi, September 12, 2024:** Bangladesh has announced its Test squad for the upcoming two-match series against India, starting September 19. Najmul Shanto will captain the side following their historic series victory over Pakistan. The first Test will be held in Chennai, followed by the second in Kanpur on September 27.
The Bangla Tigers have made one change to their Test squad since their tour of Pakistan, replacing injured fast bowler Shoriful Islam with Jaker Ali. The team has been training in Mirpur, with all members except Shakib al Hasan, who is playing for Surrey in the County Championship, participating. The squad is expected to arrive in India on September 15.
India has also announced its squad for the first Test, with Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant making their returns. The Men in Blue currently lead the World Test Championship 2023-25 table, while Bangladesh sits in fourth place.
