**KOTA KINABALU, Sabah (Sept 12):** Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is presiding over the Malaysia Agreement 1963 Action Council (MTPMA63) Meeting 1/2024 at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC). The meeting, which commenced this afternoon, is a key platform for discussions on the implementation of the Malaysia Agreement 1963.
Anwar arrived at the SICC at 2.28pm, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg. The meeting also sees the participation of key state leaders including three Sabah Deputy Chief Ministers, three Sarawak Deputy Premiers, and several Sabah and Sarawak state ministers.
Prior to the meeting, Anwar embarked on a two-day official visit to Sabah, including a visit to Felda Sahabat in Lahad Datu to attend the “Karnival Segalanya Felda” this morning.
The MTPMA63 Meeting is expected to focus on key issues related to the Malaysia Agreement 1963, aiming to strengthen the partnership between the federal government and the states of Sabah and Sarawak.
