Denver, CO – ONE Championship star Superlek Kiatmookao has praised Liam Harrison, the retiring British Muay Thai legend, as an inspiration for future generations of fighters. Harrison, known as “The Hitman,” hung up his gloves after losing to fellow veteran Seksan Or Kwanmuang in the co-main event of ONE 168 in Denver.

The 38-year-old Harrison, a pioneer of British Muay Thai, announced his retirement after the fight, admitting he could no longer compete at the highest level.

Superlek, who himself won the bantamweight Muay Thai title by knocking out Jonathan Haggerty in just 49 seconds, expressed his admiration for Harrison despite the loss. “Liam is the best,” Superlek said backstage, “Don’t be sad, I believe that Liam is a legend. He’s a good example and a role model for all of the future fighters.”

Seksan, who shared a training camp with Harrison leading up to the fight, also had kind words for his opponent, saying, “I am extremely happy and extremely grateful that Liam chose me to be his final fight. I absolutely love him and he is an absolute legend of the sport.”

The fight itself was a thrilling encounter, with Seksan securing a TKO victory in the second round, ending Harrison’s career on a high note.
