Wed Sep 11 09:45:00 UTC 2024: ## Sheffield United’s Moore Content with Stable Summer Move, Focused on Promotion

Sheffield United forward Kieffer Moore has expressed his relief at avoiding the usual last-minute transfer drama on Deadline Day, stating he was grateful to have secured his move to the Blades in mid-July. Having settled in well at Bramall Lane, the striker is now focused on helping Chris Wilder’s side achieve promotion back to the Premier League.

Moore, who played a crucial role in Bournemouth’s promotion in 2022 and Ipswich’s remarkable success last season, believes his strengths are better utilized at Sheffield United, where the manager and squad play to his strengths.

“I’ve moved around a lot in the EFL, and now I value a manager and squad that play to my strengths,” Moore told Sky Sports. “As I’ve progressed, those are the things I really look for. You want to go into a team where they can bring the best out of you, and you can help the team.”

While acknowledging the club’s desire to return to the top flight, Moore insists there’s no pressure to achieve immediate promotion.

“Make no mistake, this club wants to be back in the Premier League,” he said. “But I wouldn’t say there’s a big overwhelming feeling that we’ve got to get back there. I think it’s going to be a process.”

Moore believes the team is building a strong foundation for the future and is confident that with time, they will gel as a unit and challenge for promotion.

“We’re assembling a really good squad. We’ve got good management and good staff. But, ultimately, I think we need to, as cliché as it sounds, genuinely take it game-by-game,” he added. “There are a lot of new faces in the building, a new playing style, and it’ll take a little time to gel. We just need to keep being at it, get as many points as we possibly can and just see where we end up near the end of the season.”
