Tue Sep 10 17:03:42 UTC 2024: ## Jets Coach Prefers 0-1 Start After Monday Night’s Loss

**New York, NY** – Despite a disappointing 32-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football, Jets head coach Robert Saleh expressed a surprising sentiment: he prefers his team’s 0-1 record to last year’s opening win.

Saleh’s reasoning stems from the disastrous start to the 2023 season, which saw quarterback Aaron Rodgers leave the game after just four snaps due to a torn Achilles tendon in 2022. This year, however, Rodgers remained healthy, albeit in a losing effort.

“Unfortunately, it does [feel better to be 0-1],” Saleh said. “You know what? We’re still alive.”

The Jets’ offensive struggles were expected due to Rodgers’ long layoff and the lack of preseason action for the first team. However, the defense allowing points on eight consecutive possessions was a surprise. Saleh assured fans that the defensive issues will be addressed ahead of their Week 2 matchup against the Tennessee Titans.

While the loss was disheartening, the Jets are grateful that Rodgers avoided a major injury and are confident they can bounce back with some adjustments.
