The Windsor is available in three variants: Excite, Exclusive, and Essence. While prices for the higher-end Exclusive and Essence trims are yet to be announced, the Excite variant is priced at ₹9.99 lakh.
The Windsor is a rebadged version of an existing model and follows the “Windsor Aero Glide Design Language.” It features vertical stacked headlamps, an illuminated MG logo, a short hood with a large windscreen, a large light bar, 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and flush-fitting door handles at the rear.
The Windsor is powered by a 38 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery that delivers 134 bhp of power and 220 Nm of peak torque. The battery is rated IP67 and offers a range of 331 kilometers. The car takes 55 minutes to charge via DC fast charging.
The test drive for the Windsor is scheduled to begin on September 25, while bookings will open on October 3rd and deliveries are expected to commence on October 12th.
The MG Windsor EV will compete with the likes of the Tata Nexon EV, the Tata Tiago EV, and the Mahindra XUV400 in the Indian market.
