**SANTA ANA** – A man with two prior DUI convictions has been charged with murder in connection with a fatal car crash in Costa Mesa. Jose Santos Alejandretorres, the alleged driver, was charged with second-degree murder, DUI causing injury, and DUI with a high blood-alcohol content causing injury. The charges stem from a crash on Friday that killed Lucila Robledo.

According to the criminal complaint, Alejandretorres had a blood-alcohol content of .15 at the time of the crash, more than twice the legal limit. Due to his prior DUI convictions, prosecutors were able to upgrade the charges from manslaughter to murder, potentially leading to a life sentence.
