**PESHAWAR:** Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, who had been “unavailable” for several hours following his fiery speech at a PTI rally in Islamabad on September 8th, reappeared at a ceremony in Peshawar on Wednesday. The CM reiterated his unwavering support for imprisoned PTI Chairman Imran Khan, declaring, “I want to give a message to our leader [Imran Khan] that we support your ideology.”
Gandapur’s absence following the rally sparked speculation and concerns, particularly amidst a crackdown on the PTI for violating a new public gathering law. However, the party later claimed that the CM was engaged in “important meetings” with government officials in Islamabad regarding the province’s law and order situation. They attributed his “unavailability” to mobile phone jammers in the meeting location.
The CM’s reappearance and reaffirmation of support for Imran Khan are seen as a signal of the party’s continued solidarity despite the ongoing legal and political challenges.
