**Atlanta, GA** – A Delta Air Lines jet clipped a smaller plane on a taxiway at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Tuesday morning, causing significant damage to the smaller aircraft’s tail.

The incident occurred just after 10 a.m. as Delta Air Lines Flight 295, bound for Tokyo, was taxiing for takeoff. The plane’s wingtip struck the tail of Endeavor Air Flight 5526, which was on an adjacent taxiway preparing for its departure to Louisiana.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration and Delta, the impact caused significant damage to the tail of the Endeavor plane. Video footage captured by storm chaser Aaron Rigsby shows the tail of the smaller aircraft completely detached.
