**Dublin, Ireland** – Blackrock Health, the group behind Blackrock Clinic, Hermitage Clinic, Galway Clinic, and Limerick Clinic, has announced a major €500 million investment plan over the next five years. The investment will create up to 1,000 new jobs and significantly expand the group’s healthcare facilities across Ireland.
The investment will see the addition of 187 new beds, 14 operating theaters, six cardiac cath labs, and a dedicated cancer center. This will bring the total number of beds to 808, including 495 in-patient beds and 313 day-case beds. The group will also have 36 operating theaters and 10 cardiac cath labs.
Blackrock Clinic will be the site of the new cancer center, featuring two radiation suites and an expanded medical oncology unit. The clinic will also see the addition of 47 in-patient beds, 63 ambulatory care beds, five new operating theaters, and two cardiac cath labs.
Hermitage Clinic will see a boost with 25 ambulatory care beds, four new operating theaters, two endoscopy suites, and three refurbished and one new cardiac cath labs. The clinic will also open a dedicated eye health clinic.
The Galway Clinic expansion will include 30 new in-patient beds and seven new ambulatory care beds for cardiology patients, along with 15 additional ambulatory care beds, five new operating theaters, one new cardiac cath lab, and a new cardiac CT scanner.
