**August 19, 2024 marked a major milestone for the Experience Builder (XB) project with the release of comprehensive documentation defining key terminology and streamlining contribution processes.**

The new documentation, which includes contributions from Simon Ramsay, Dave Long, Ted Bowman, Feliksas Mazeikis, and Alex Bronstein, ensures clear communication and makes it easier for developers to contribute to XB. All future Merge Requests (MRs) will be required to update affected documentation, ensuring that the documentation remains current and accurate.

**Beyond documentation, XB has also seen significant improvements in functionality:**

* **Felix Mazeikis’ MR for automatic component config entity creation simplifies the development process, streamlining the process for working with Single-Directory Components (SDCs).** This feature ensures that SDCs meet minimum criteria, including having titles for each prop, preventing the need for users to interact with machine names.
* **Ted Bowman’s work on the back end provides developers with an HTTP API to access a list of viable candidate field properties, offering a more robust way to populate component props.** This functionality is akin to Drupal’s tokens but offers greater precision and support for complex data types.
* **The XB user interface now loads both component CSS/JS and the default theme’s global CSS/JS, thanks to the efforts of Dave Long and Ted Bowman.** This ensures a more comprehensive and consistent user experience.
