Mon Sep 09 14:54:28 UTC 2024: ## Hilfiger Rocks the Boat with Wu-Tang and Staten Island Ferry Runway Show

Tommy Hilfiger took his spring fashion show to the high seas, literally, staging a runway extravaganza aboard the decommissioned Staten Island Ferry, the MV John F. Kennedy. The event featured a surprise performance by Wu-Tang Clan members Ghostface Killah, Method Man, and Raekwon, backed by Questlove on the decks.

The celebrity-studded crowd, including Damson Idris, Brooke Shields, Jisoo, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Olympic gold medalists Suni Lee and Gabrielle Thomas, and “Saturday Night Live” stars Colin Jost and Pete Davidson, went wild for the hip-hop legends.

Jost, who, along with two investors, purchased the ferry for $280,000 in 2022, envisioned the vessel as a unique venue. “I always had faith that it will be something really fun,” he said, praising the Hilfiger event.

Hilfiger’s spring collection showcased preppy styles, with models sporting nautical-themed trench coats, chinos, capri pants, and dresses in navy, red, and white. The show was a resounding success, with the guests enjoying champagne, beer, and snacks while mingling with the designer and his wife, Dee.

The event marked a continuation of Hilfiger’s trend of hosting shows in iconic New York City landmarks, following his previous show at the Oyster Bar in Grand Central Station. This unique venue choice, combined with the surprise Wu-Tang performance, made for a truly memorable fashion experience.
