Tue Sep 10 15:51:59 UTC 2024: ## Michigan’s Open Senate Seat: Slotkin and Rogers to Face Off in Debates

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – The race for Michigan’s open U.S. Senate seat is heating up, with two debates scheduled next month featuring the leading candidates: Democratic U.S. Rep. Elissa Slotkin of Holly and Republican former U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers of Brighton.

Slotkin, a former CIA analyst and current representative for Michigan’s 8th congressional district, is facing off against Rogers, a former FBI agent who served 14 years in the U.S. House representing the Howell area. The Senate seat is open due to the retirement of U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow at the end of her term.

These debates offer a crucial opportunity for voters to hear directly from the candidates on key issues and compare their positions ahead of the November election.
