New York-based designer Sandy Liang’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection is a playful ode to the “lowkey princess of the city,” with a heavy dose of pink, girlcore charm, and unexpected practicality.

Liang’s SS25 is a fusion of girlcore and corporatecore, offering work suits with cinched waists and puffed sleeves, short shorts, mini skirts, and transparent floral details. A vibrant color palette of soft pinks, cobalt blue, and lime green adds a pop of freshness to the collection.

The designer incorporated her Android collaboration into the collection, with a patterned Samsung flip phone case and rosy hairpins adding a tech-savvy touch to the girly girl aesthetic.

While classic Mary Jane Salomons and trail sneakers were absent from the runway, Liang presented bow-topped kitten heels and layered ruffled handbags as part of her SS25 accessories.

Liang acknowledges the influence of becoming a mother on her design process, stating that the collection reflects her pre-baby mindset. The designer described the collection as a mix of pared-down basics, with jersey tops and skirts that can be elevated through accessories, allowing for a put-together yet easy-breezy look.

Liang’s obsession with the frosty pink lip is evident, as it was one of the first elements she envisioned for the collection. She emphasized the collection’s practicality, designing for the “New York girl” who needs clothes that are both beautiful and functional, making even the most delicate pieces feel resilient and wearable.
