Ammanford High Street was brought to a standstill today after a false alarm of a fire at the Ammanford Miners’ Theatre.
Fire crews were dispatched to the scene shortly after midday, causing significant congestion on the A483 and High Street. However, the fire service has since confirmed that there was no fire, and crews left the scene shortly after arriving.
A spokesperson for Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service stated that the Ammanford crew was called at 12:19 pm on Tuesday, September 10, but the incident was quickly determined to be a false alarm.
