Tue Sep 10 13:52:52 UTC 2024: ## Prince William Expresses Gratitude as Princess Kate Finishes Chemotherapy

**Llanelli, Wales** – Prince William, sporting his signature beard, visited Llanelli, South Wales, on Tuesday, expressing gratitude for the public’s support as Princess Kate completes her chemotherapy treatment.

The Prince of Wales, who was in the area to engage with the community and celebrate Welsh sport and culture, shared a moment with locals outside Swiss Valley Community Primary School. He described the end of Kate’s chemotherapy as “good news,” but emphasized that his wife still has “a long way to go.”

Locals, who had waited for hours to meet William following the health update, showed their affection and support. Sandra Peters, 79, shared a heartfelt message with the prince, saying, “I told him, ‘Bore da, you have a beautiful family, I’m so pleased Kate is recovering.’ He said thank you very much. He was lovely, he’s so charming.”

Alan Evans, who had his granddaughter perched on his shoulders, had an amusing exchange with the prince, telling him, “We all have our burdens.” William replied, “Yes, watch your neck!”

Sandra and her friend Jane Stoneman, 61, were starstruck as they handed over letters to give to Kate, with Jane gushing, “He’s so handsome and beautiful. We’re so lucky to have him.”

Aleena Haider, a 30-year-old cardiologist, traveled 200 miles from London just to catch a glimpse of Prince William. She said, “It’s a feeling of pride that Prince William is coming to see the school. It’s nice to have the recognition for the teachers and parents who make it such a nice place. We all loved Diana as well.”

The visit comes after Princess Kate shared a personal update on her cancer battle on Monday, confirming that her preventative chemotherapy has now ended. In a video message, she addressed her recovery, saying her focus is staying “cancer free” but will be taking “each day as it comes.”

The 42-year-old, who bravely announced her cancer diagnosis in March, spoke about her experience and said her family had been “blown away” by supportive messages. In the video, she reflected on the challenging journey, stating, “This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved.”
