Mon Sep 09 15:44:17 UTC 2024: ## Valley’s Tech Talent Ranking Slips, But Job Market Remains Strong

**Phoenix, AZ** – The Valley has slipped three spots in an annual ranking of top tech talent markets in North America, according to a report by CBRE Group Inc. Despite the drop, the region’s tech job market remains robust, driven by increasing annual wages, population growth, and a steady stream of university graduates.

CBRE’s report, released on September 4th, ranked Phoenix 18th for tech talent out of 50 markets in the U.S. and Canada. This marks a decline from its 15th place ranking in 2023. The rankings were determined by assessing the competitive advantages and appeal of each market to both employers and tech employees.

Despite the slight dip, the Valley boasts a strong tech job market. Between 2018 and 2023, the tech workforce grew by 17.2%, demonstrating continued growth in the sector. The report highlights factors like rising wages, population growth, and a steady supply of tech-skilled graduates as key drivers of this positive outlook.

While the Valley may have fallen slightly in the rankings, its thriving tech scene remains attractive to both employers and tech professionals, making it a significant player in the North American tech landscape.
