Tue Sep 10 14:08:00 UTC 2024: ## Maple Leafs Re-Sign Forward Nick Robertson to One-Year Deal

**TORONTO** – The Toronto Maple Leafs have re-signed forward Nick Robertson to a one-year contract worth US$875,000, the team announced Tuesday. The 22-year-old winger, who reportedly requested a trade this summer, will remain in Toronto for the upcoming season.

Robertson, drafted by the Maple Leafs in the second round of the 2019 NHL Draft, had a solid season in 2023-24, scoring 14 goals and adding 13 assists in 56 games. This followed a four-year period where he split time between the NHL and the AHL’s Toronto Marlies, totaling 17 goals and 17 assists in 87 NHL games.

While Robertson’s future in Toronto was uncertain following his trade request, the team has retained his services for another year. This comes after the departure of veteran winger Tyler Bertuzzi, who joined the Chicago Blackhawks during the off-season. The move opens up a potential opportunity for Robertson to secure a bigger role on the team under head coach Craig Berube.

With training camp approaching, Robertson will be looking to make a strong impression and prove his worth to the Maple Leafs.
