Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud was forced to reprimand a lawyer for his “demeaning” behavior and requested him to “lower his pitch” after the courtroom descended into disorder.

The tension stemmed from an accusation made by Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal against BJP leader and Advocate Kaustav Bagchi. Sibal alleged that Bagchi had thrown stones during a protest related to the August 9 incident, further escalating the already charged atmosphere in the courtroom.
