**LONDON** – The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, has announced that she has completed her chemotherapy treatment. In a video statement released on the Prince and Princess of Wales’ Instagram account, Kate expressed her relief and gratitude for reaching this milestone.
“As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment,” Kate said in the video, which also featured clips of her husband Prince William and their children.
The Princess acknowledged the challenges the past nine months have brought for her family. “Life as you know it can change in an instant,” she said, reflecting on the unexpected nature of her cancer diagnosis. “The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you.”
Kate also spoke about the personal growth she experienced during this difficult time. “This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted.”
The Princess emphasized her commitment to staying cancer-free and outlined her path to full recovery, stating that it will be a long journey. “Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes,” she said.
Despite the challenges, Kate remains hopeful and is looking forward to resuming her public duties. “I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can.”
The Princess expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support she and her family have received throughout this ordeal. “William and I are so grateful for the support we have received and have drawn great strength from all those who are helping us at this time.”
