Tue Sep 10 13:07:00 UTC 2024: ## Colquitt County Prepares for Lee County’s Star Running Back

**MOULTRIE, GA** – The Colquitt County Packers are gearing up for a tough matchup against the Lee County Trojans this Friday, a game that will feature a showdown between the Packers’ defense and the Trojans’ star running back, Ousmane Kromah.

Kromah, a 6-foot-2, 210-pound senior, is considered one of the top running backs in the state and is attracting attention from several major college football programs. He has already proven to be a formidable opponent for Colquitt County in previous seasons, racking up significant yards and touchdowns.

“Stopping him would be holding him to 50 yards,” said Colquitt County defensive line coach Terel Toomer. “I hate to say it, but I don’t think we are going to do that. We just have to slow him down.”

The Packers are planning to employ multiple defensive strategies to contain Kromah, relying heavily on their experienced defensive line, which includes seniors Amari Wilson and Jartavius Flounoy.

“I feel good about our defensive line up front,” Toomer stated. “They know what we are going to be up against. We’ve just got to be where we are supposed to be on every play. If we’re not, he’ll find the gap we left, and he’s not a guy you can arm-tackle.”

The Packers will also have to contend with the Trojans’ senior quarterback Weston Bryan, a 6-foot-2, 230-pound dual-threat player who can both throw and run the ball effectively.

Colquitt County will be looking to build upon their strong defensive performance in their last game against North Gwinnett, where they limited the Bulldogs’ running attack to 3.7 yards per carry. The Packers will need to be at their best on Friday to contain Kromah and the rest of the Trojans’ offense.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at Tom White Field at Mack Tharpe Stadium.
