Icelandic composer Hildur Guðnadóttir, known for her Oscar-winning score for the original “Joker,” has released the first track from her upcoming soundtrack for “Joker: Folie à Deux.” The haunting new song, titled “There Is No Joker,” offers a chilling glimpse into the musical landscape of the highly anticipated sequel starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga.
Guðnadóttir’s score album, “Joker: Folie à Deux (Score From the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack),” will be released on September 27th by WaterTower Music. The film itself, directed by Todd Phillips, is set to hit theaters on October 4th.
Coinciding with the film’s release, Interscope Records will release “Joker: Folie à Deux (Music From the Motion Picture),” a soundtrack album featuring music from Phoenix, Gaga, and the film’s cast.
Guðnadóttir’s work on the original “Joker” earned her critical acclaim, including an Academy Award for Best Original Score and a Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media. Fans are eagerly awaiting her contribution to the sequel, which promises to be a dark and compelling experience.
