Mon Sep 09 15:00:00 UTC 2024: ## Havas Media Network Appoints Jackie Lyons as Chief Planning Officer for North America

**NEW YORK** – Havas Media Network has announced the appointment of Jackie Lyons as Chief Planning Officer for North America, a newly created role designed to bolster the agency’s focus on strategic planning. Lyons, who previously held the same position at Havas Media Network UK, will oversee a team of 130 people and report to North America CEO Greg James.

The appointment comes at a time when Havas Media is emphasizing the importance of strategic planning for client success. Lyons highlights the growing demand from clients for “brilliant planners,” echoing James’s desire to make the planning team the “top team” of the agency.

Lyons brings extensive experience in planning and a proven track record of success. She will lead the implementation of Havas Media’s Mx (media experience) planning process and tool, which she successfully rolled out across the UK, and will also spearhead the North American network approach to Havas’ global Converged operating system.

Converged, an AI-powered tool, aims to enhance media targeting and planning, offering clients “transparent, cross-platform media training,” according to Havas. Lyons believes Converged has been instrumental in driving recent success, citing the agency’s recent wins for Ahold Delhaize USA, Famous Footwear, Vancity, and Lundbeck.

The appointment comes after a year of account losses for Havas Media in North America. However, Lyons is optimistic about the future, stating that “the tide has started to turn” with the agency winning one in three pitches.

James expressed confidence in Lyons’ ability to unlock “content, connection, and context” for clients through her expertise in strategic planning and the implementation of Mx and Converged.
