The Financial Times has released its 2024 global rankings for Masters in Management (MiM) programs, with the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland securing the top spot for the 13th consecutive year.
HEC Paris follows closely in second place, while Insead makes a notable debut in third position. Edhec Business School holds fourth place, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Antai School of Economics and Management ranks fifth. ESCP Business School and London Business School share sixth place.
The ranking highlights a diverse range of strengths across the top programs. University of St. Gallen maintains its lead due to its consistent excellence. HEC Paris attracts international students with its prestigious Grande Ecole program. Insead’s high ranking is attributed to its strong performance in alumni international work mobility.
Several other programs showcased unique achievements:
* Edhec Business School climbed seven spots to secure fourth place.
* Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Antai School of Economics and Management earned the highest ranking among schools outside Europe, with strong performances in value for money, alumni network, and career services.
* ESCP Business School boasts a 100% employment rate for its recent MiM alumni within three months of graduation.
* London Business School boasts a remarkably international student body with 99% of its most recent class from abroad.
* Bocconi University leads in carbon footprint, achieving carbon neutrality since 2020.
* Tongji University offers the best value for money.
* Stockholm School of Economics ranks second for international course experience.
* Iese Business School and St Gallen share top marks for course satisfaction from alumni.
* IE Business School distinguishes itself with gender parity within its faculty.
* Luiss University alumni experience the highest salary increase since graduation.
The Financial Times’ Masters in Management ranking, now in its 20th year, evaluated 141 programs. The ranking considers 19 criteria, with alumni responses contributing to 56% of the total weight and school data accounting for the remaining 44%. This year, 9,338 alumni participated, despite some schools experiencing lower response rates due to pandemic-related disruptions.
