**NEW YORK, NY** – Get ready for a night of music and mayhem as MTV’s 2024 Video Music Awards (VMAs) take place this Wednesday, September 11th, live from UBS Arena in New York. This year’s show will be hosted by the three-time Grammy winner, Megan Thee Stallion, who will be joined by a star-studded lineup of performers.
Kicking off the night with a bang is none other than rap icon Eminem. The 15-time Grammy winner will be taking the stage for the first time since 2010, setting the tone for the evening just before the awards ceremony. Eminem’s performance comes on the heels of his 12th studio album, “The Death of Slim Shady,” which earned him eight VMA nominations this year, including Video of the Year, Best Hip-Hop, and Song of the Summer.
Other performers announced so far include Benson Boone, Camila Cabello, Chappell Roan, GloRilla, Halsey, Karol G, Lenny Kravitz, LISA, LL Cool J, Rauw Alejandro, Sabrina Carpenter, and Shawn Mendes. The night will also feature a special medley performance by Katy Perry, who is receiving the Vanguard Award this year.
Ahead of the main event, MTV will be hosting its official pre-show beginning 90 minutes before the awards ceremony. Co-hosts Nessa, Dometi Pongo, and Kevan Kenney will be joined by a special performance from the K-pop group LE SSERAFIM.
This year’s VMAs have seen a plethora of nominations, with Taylor Swift leading the pack with ten, including Video of the Year.
