**LOS ANGELES, CA** – Legendary comedian Dick Van Dyke, 98, continues to defy age and entertain audiences, winning the Outstanding Variety Special Emmy for his 2023 birthday special, “Dick Van Dyke 98 Years of Magic”. The award comes on the heels of his Daytime Emmy win in June for his guest role on Peacock’s “Days of Our Lives,” making him the oldest actor to achieve this honor.

Despite his illustrious career spanning 75 years, Van Dyke isn’t slowing down. During a backstage interview, the comedian joked about being available for hire, “I’m looking for work if anybody has (any).”

Van Dyke, who has seemingly done it all, offered advice to aspiring performers: “You have to stick with it,” he said. “You’re going to go through some hard times and a lot of auditions and free meals, but you have to stay with it. Be patient, if you’ve got the confidence in yourself, and it’s very important to believe that you can do it.”

The comedian’s sharp wit was on full display throughout the evening, even poking fun at his own mortality during his acceptance speech. “I invited everybody to my memorial,” he joked with reporters. “I don’t have a date yet, but I’m not feeling too well.”

Dick Van Dyke’s remarkable career continues to inspire, proving that age is just a number and laughter is timeless.
