The highly anticipated trailer for “Devara: Part 1” was released on Monday in Mumbai, setting the stage for the film’s release on September 27th. The trailer, clocking in at 2 minutes and 39 seconds, introduces the world of “Devara,” where fear is nonexistent until the arrival of Jr NTR’s character.

Jr NTR plays a dual role, portraying both Devara and Varadha, aka Deva and Vara. His character’s arrival throws the world into chaos, challenging the reign of Saif Ali Khan’s fearsome character, Bhaira. The trailer suggests a complex battle between the two, with Saif seemingly plotting to defeat Jr NTR.

Janhvi Kapoor plays Thangam, a village belle who is in love with the titular character’s son, also played by Jr NTR. The trailer hints that the son is vastly different from his father, but may be forced to embrace his legacy when the time comes.

The film’s trailer launch saw a star-studded event with Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor in attendance. Jr NTR also caught up with his “RRR” co-star Alia Bhatt and filmmaker Karan Johar, sparking fan excitement.

“Devara: Part 1” has already crossed the $1 million mark in pre-sales for North American premieres, set to take place a day before its Indian release. While the film’s ticket sales in India are yet to open, the pre-sales success indicates a promising start for the film.
