
Tue Sep 10 16:08:00 UTC 2024: ## Calabarzon Police Seize P775.2 Million Worth of Shabu, Arrest Three Big-Time Pushers
**IMUS CITY, CAVITE** – In a major blow to the drug trade in the region, law enforcement agencies in Calabarzon and NCR have seized a staggering P775.2 million worth of shabu and apprehended three high-value individuals (HVIs) during two separate buy-bust operations in Imus City on Monday.
The first operation, conducted by a joint team from the Philippine National Police (PNP) Drug Enforcement Group (PNP-DEG) Special Operations Unit 4A, Imus City Police Station, Cavite Police Provincial, PDEA NCR and Region 4A, and the Regional Intelligence Unit 4A and Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group 4A, resulted in the arrest of Arry Martin Didel and Jan Rey Estrella.
Police seized 1000 grams of shabu valued at P6.8 million and 110 kilograms with a street value of P741.2 million from the suspects, who were both listed as high-value targets in the Cavite Police Provincial Office’s Drug Watchlist.
In a separate operation, another HVI, identified as Adie Batawan, was apprehended and four kilos of shabu worth P27 million were seized.
“We remain steadfast in our mission to combat drug trafficking and dismantle the networks that facilitate these illegal activities here in Calabarzon,” said BGen. Paul Kenneth Lucas, regional director of PRO-Calabarzon. “This significant success underscores the PNP’s unwavering commitment to eradicate illegal drugs, achieved with the support of other law enforcement agencies and the community.”
Lucas also emphasized that investigations are ongoing to identify and prosecute those responsible for the drug haul.
The three suspects are currently in custody of PNP-DEG SOU-4A, and charges for violations of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared for filing in court.
