Meta’s popular VR rhythm game, Beat Saber, is introducing a new music pack series called “Shock Drops”, featuring “new-ish hit singles” to keep the game fresh. The first track to be released is Eminem’s “Houdini”, a chart-topping hit from his 2000 album *The Marshall Mathers LP*.
“Houdini” boasts over 138 million views on YouTube and 340 million listens on Spotify, making it a natural choice for Beat Saber’s summer finale. The song comes with an updated version of the environment from the Hip Hop Mixtape, which debuted in April and featured classics from Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, The Notorious B.I.G., and 2Pac.
Shock Drops are available on all Beat Saber supported headsets, including Quest, PSVR 2, and PC VR. They can be found in the new “Shock Drops” section of the game and are priced at $2 each.
It’s worth noting that like the Hip Hop Mixtape, “Houdini” is uncensored and won’t be available for users with parent-managed Meta accounts.
