**Belleville, ON** – Advance voting is now open in the upcoming by-election for the Bay of Quinte riding. The by-election was called after former Education Minister Todd Smith resigned his seat on August 16 to pursue a career in the private sector.
Voters can cast their ballots in advance at designated locations from September 11th to 13th, between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. Early voting by special ballot began on August 22nd, and voters can also cast ballots in person at their returning office until 6 p.m. on September 18th.
The by-election is scheduled for September 19th.
A diverse field of candidates is vying for the seat, including:
