**New Delhi:** BYD India, a subsidiary of the global NEV leader BYD, has revealed the name of its upcoming electric MPV – the ‘BYD eMAX 7’. This new model will replace the company’s first Indian offering, the BYD e6, and is essentially an updated version with enhanced features and performance.
The ‘e’ in the name signifies the electric drive, while ‘MAX’ highlights the improvements over the e6, including a larger range and enhanced features. The ‘7’ signifies its position as the successor to the e6.
“BYD personifies sustainable luxury,” said Mr. Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles (EPV) Business at BYD India. “The eMAX 7 is a testament to our efforts to deliver best-in-class technology and features to our customers. It is designed with market insights and feedback from existing customers.”
The eMAX 7 boasts a revamped design, featuring revised headlamps and tail lamps, and new alloy wheel designs. Internationally, the vehicle is known as the BYD M6 and boasts two new, more powerful motor options.
The eMAX 7 is expected to appeal to families seeking eco-friendly mobility without compromising on style and performance. BYD India is confident that this new MPV will further solidify its position as a leader in the Indian electric vehicle market.
